TEAMS SUITE
Loyalty & training · TypeScript · Crombie
Employee loyalty, quality metrics and training platform for service stations — Texaco, Puma Energy and now Shell — built at Crombie. A from-scratch migration of a Symfony legacy system. My role: Full Stack Engineer, designing and implementing features end to end, from backend to frontend, and in charge of documenting how the whole system works.
brand 01
Texaco, one of the brands running on the platform: points, quality metrics and training for its service-station staff.
brand 02
Puma Energy, second brand on the same core. The system was designed to serve several brands without forking the code.
brand 03
Shell: the strongest quality signal. It doesn't just use the platform — it decided to buy the product.
MIGRATION
Symfony legacy → Next.js + GraphQL
A complete rewrite of the legacy: Next.js on the frontend, Apollo GraphQL on the backend, Prisma over PostgreSQL, deployed on AWS. We migrated the data of over 50,000 users to the new system. Along the way I brought freshness to the inherited design: a far more intuitive, dynamic backoffice for the end user.
microservices → complexity with no payoff
Discarded path
Discarded path: the initial idea of going microservices. We chose a more monolithic architecture so the project stays easy to maintain for future developers. The mature decision isn't always the trendiest — it's the one tomorrow's team can sustain.
agent skills = context to maintain & grow
We implemented a skills-based context system for AI agents: project knowledge gets packaged so maintaining the system and building new features is more dynamic. The codebase documents itself — for humans and for machines.
the consultancy
A project built at Crombie, the consultancy where I work. Texaco, Puma Energy and Shell on the other side of the table — and a product delivered so well that one of them bought it.
STACK
TypeScript end to end: Next.js + Apollo GraphQL + Prisma on PostgreSQL, deployed on AWS. A deliberately modular monolith: easy to maintain today, easy to inherit tomorrow.
SHELL BUYS THE PLATFORM
50,000+ users migrated
The result: a successful migration from the old system to the new one with the data of over 50,000 users — and a product so solid that Shell decided to buy it. There's no better code review than a client buying the system.
Let's talk? I'm open to projects and opportunities.
